Passend zu den heute startenden Weihnachtsfeiertagen haben die Entwickler von World of Warcraft und Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft bereits die vergangenen Tage über eine ganze Reihe von Weihnachtsgrüßen in den offiziellen Battle.Net Foren gepostet.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the boards
Not a creature was stirring, not even the horde.
The stickies were hung by the forum top with care,
In hopes that players soon would read there.

The blues were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of answered threads danced in their heads.
And Natryndon in his bucket, and Hagut in his cap,
Had just settled Lurdlespor for a long winter’s nap…

When out on the garrison there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the inn to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I blinked like a flash,
Blew open the shutters and coughed in the ash.

The pale lady on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to outposts below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But Great Father Winter, and Metzen the reindeer.

Von Kaivax auf der WoW Seite:

The cherished time has come at last
For little elves and trolls to ask
Greatfather Winter please to hear
Their wishes, hopes, and dreams this year.

Soon, beneath the trimmed trees and stars
In Stormwind and in Orgrimmar,
That jolly fellow, standing tall,
Will have some wrapped delights for all.

Whether gnome or orc or tauren,
Human, goblin, undead, worgen …
Even pandaren girls and boys
Celebrate year’s end with new toys!
