SC2: Ein Blogeintrag zu der Handlung des Buches „Evolution“
Die Entwickler von Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void haben vor Kurzem einen neuen Blogeintrag auf ihrer offiziellen Communityseite veröffentlicht, der insgesamt sechs verschiedene Gründe dafür auflistet, warum die Spieler dieses Titels das bereits am 08. November 2016 auf Englisch erscheinende Buch „Starcraft: Evolution“ unbedingt kaufen sollten. Dabei gehen einige dieser Gründe dann ein wenig genauer auf die in diesem Roman erzählte Geschichte ein und versorgen die Community mit ersten Informationen darüber, welche bereits aus SC2 bekannten Charaktere in diesem Buch auftauchen, in welche Richtung sich die Handlung entwickelt und wie viel Zeit zwischen dem Ende von LotV und „Evolution“ vergangenen ist. Wer sich bisher also noch nicht sicher ist, ob er dieses Buch erwerben möchte, der sollte sich folgende Gründe und den Blogeintrag der Entwickler durchlesen.

Die Gründe:
- Die Geschichte der Zerg: Die Leser werden erfahren, auf welche Weise Zagara nun eigentlich den Schwarm anführt und mit was für Projekten sich Abathur eigentlich seit HotS beschäftigt hat.
- Valerian Mengsk: In Buch wird erwähnt werden, was für einen Einfluss Valerian auf die Terraner hat und wie sehr er sich von seinem Vater unterscheidet.
- Protoss: In der Geschichte des Buches entwickeln sich scheinbar Spannungen zwischen den Terraner und den Protoss. Das Ganze könnte ausarten und schlimm enden.
- Bekannte Charaktere: Valerian Mengsk, Artanis, Matthew Horner, Zagara und Abathur tauchen im Buch auf. Zusätzlich dazu soll „Evolution“ etwas Neues über Kerrigan offenbaren.
- Neue Charaktere: Es gibt einige neue Charaktere wie beispielsweise einen pyrokinetischen Ghost, einen Wissenschaftler der Terraner, ein Forscher der Protoss, ein erfahrener Marine und ein Reaper mit lustigen Sprüchen.
- Der Autor: Timothy Zahn ist ein sehr erfahrener und preisgekrönter Science-Fiction-Autor, der in der Vergangenheit bereits sehr viele Romane in diesem Genre (Beispiel: Thrawn-Trilogie) veröffentlichte und daher die notwendige Erfahrung dafür besitzt, um eine Geschichte im Universum von Starcraft zu erzählen.
