SC2: Die Top 3 Fun Maps aus dem „Rock the Cabinet“ Wettbewerb
Nachdem die Preisrichter des „Rock the Cabinet“ Wettbewerbs von Starcraft 2 die fünf durch die Community ausgesuchten Fun Maps für die Finalrunde nun bereits einige Wochen lang Zeit ausprobieren und beurteilen konnten, haben die Mitarbeiter von Blizzard in der vergangenen Woche nun endlich die Sieger dieses Events verkündet. Dabei wurde die Karte „Dwarven Combat“ dann zum Gesamtsieger dieses Wettbewerbs gekürt, weshalb sich der Spieler „Pirate“ als Erschaffer dieser Fun Map nun über ein Preisgeld in Höhe von 10.000 US-Dollar freuen darf. Der zweite Platz mit einem Gewinn von 7.000 US-Dollar ging dann an „Nexus Fortress“ und der dritte Platz mit immerhin noch 5.000 US-Dollar wurde an die Karte „Archers“ verliehen.
Zusätzlich dazu haben die für diesen Wettbewerb verantwortlichen Personen dann auch noch ein kurzes Video auf YouTube veröffentlicht, welches neben einer Übersicht zu den drei Fun Map dann auch noch einige Erklärungen der Preisrichter zu ihren Auswahlkriterien beinhaltet.
Rock the Cabinet 2015 — Winners Announced
2015 was a great year for the Arcade: we added thousands of new goodies for mapmakers to utilize with the addition of the Warcraft III assets, we updated the Arcade UI to give open lobbies more attention, we made it easier for people to join with the addition of ‘lobby linking’ in chat, and we hosted our second Arcade contest: Rock the Cabinet. What better way to kick off 2016 than with some amazing games—including the awe-inspiring selection of Arcade games we are announcing today. With no further ado, here are the winners of Rock the Cabinet 2015.
Congratulations to our winners and a final thank you to everyone who participated this year. As we predicted, the entries we received blew us away with their game design and technical achievement. Here is our full breakdown of prizes and positions for this year.
In addition, we’d like to announce the recipients of our ‘honorable mention’ awards. We wanted to recognize as many of the mod makers as possible, and these are the games we felt stood out in a particular category.
The creators of these games will each receive a $100 Battle.net gift card, which they can use to purchase digital copies of Blizzard games or in-game content, including the upcoming Nova Covert Ops Mission Bundle, Heroes of the Storm skins, or oodles of Hearthstone card packs. Congratulations!
