Diesen Monat in WoW: Juli 2016
This Month in WoW – July 2016
Fireworks start off July! There’s much to see and do, and we have our eye on what the community’s up to, too. In this July edition of This Month in WoW, we look forward to some of the more remarkable things going on in the World of Warcraft community.
Holidays
Midsummer Fire Festival June 21 – July 5
Across Azeroth and Outland, brilliant bonfires have been lit to rekindle peoples’ spirits and ward off ancient evils. Each year, new guardians are chosen to watch over the sacred flames and ensure that they are never extinguished.
Called „flamekeepers,“ these chosen few request the aid of brave adventurers to traverse the land and journey into the dark recesses of Azeroth’s dungeons. It is rumored that any heroes who are willing to brave the terrors placed before them will be rewarded for their efforts through the power of the flames.
This is the only time of the year to obtain the Frigid Frostling and Spirit of Summer pets. The fire festival is one of the most PvP-heavy events in the land, so strap into your gladiator gear and get ready to desecrate or defend the Midsummer bonfires from your enemies!
Did You Know?
Eleven years ago, on July 12, 2005, patch 1.6 opened Blackwing Lair for the first time. Groups comprising 40 players went to Blackrock Mountain to face Razorgore the Untamed and Vaelastrasz the Corrupt.
In the dark recesses of the mountain’s peak, Nefarian, the eldest son of Deathwing, conducts some of his most awful experimentation, controlling mighty beings like puppets and combining the eggs of different dragonflights with horrific results. Should he prove successful, even darker pursuits rest on the horizon.
And, yet, the Lord of Blackrock is not a mere scientist – he is a great dragon cornered in his lair. Can he truly be defeated by mortal hands?
