Blue Team

Red Team:

We asked some of the future brawlers about their experiences with Heroes and everything BlizzCon.

Blizzard: Hello teams, thanks for joining us! Let’s start off with something fun. If you could pick one hero from the Blizzard universe to put in the game, who would it be?

Red Team

Rocket Jump: Clearly, Deckard Cain needs his own spot and class sub-type.

Blue Team:

Jesse Cox: It would have to be the Dreadlord Tichondrius. He wouldn’t die, just turn into bats. He’d be able to take over the bodies of jungle creeps. And most importantly his heroic ability would be to transform into Jaina Proudmore. Oh ya, spoilers, Jaina is a dread lord.

SMOSH Dave: Tauren Marine

Husky: Tarquinn from Rock n‘ Roll Racing. I have been hoping for a Rock N Roll Racing sequel for about 15 years now, but I would gladly accept a character from the game instead :D.

Blizzard: Who is your favorite hero currently in the game, and why?

Red Team:

Rocket Jump: Being able to lay down huge amounts of firepower from afar with Sgt. Hammer is currently our favorite!

Blue Team:

Jesse Cox: I’m a huge fan of Rehgar. He’s a fantastic support.

SMOSH Dave: Brightwing. She’s a psychopath.

Husky: Tassadar! Not only does he obviously represent the best race in StarCraft but he also has PSI STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORM. What more could you possibly need? Also Nova. Because reasons.

Blizzard: Which Hero in the game most reminds you of yourself, and why?

Red Team:

Rocket Jump: Jimmy says Murky because he dressed up as him for BlizzCon one year.

Blue Team:

Jesse Cox: Patriot Jim Raynor. I don’t think I need to explain why, darlin‘.

SMOSH Dave: Brightwing.

Husky: I would have to say Abathur. He basically sits at home all day. I can relate to the amount of effort he puts into never moving.

Blizzard: What do you like best about the game?

Red Team:

Rocket Jump: Group levelling and skill customization brings a much more balanced and efficient play style to the game.

Blue Team:

Jesse Cox: As someone who is horribad at these types of games in general, the team aspect and working together to achieve objectives alleviates the pressures from players who think they’re the best thing since sliced alliance, and just lets you play without feeling like you’re going to be yelled at constantly.

SMOSH Dave: I like the importance placed on objectives.

Blizzard: The series is a best-of-three, how close are the games going to be? Can we get a prediction on the final score?

Red Team:

Rocket Jump: We’re hoping for a blowout sale. 3-0, no contest.

Blue Team:

Jesse Cox: Final score, 1-1 tie, the 3rd game will be canceled due to unforeseen complications with the costume contest, when the robotic goblin mount someone made gains sentience and attacks the crowd. It will be a sad time for all, cause we were going to win.

SMOSH Dave: The games will not be close. We will crush them.

Husky: The final score is going to be an extremely close 4-3. How do we end up playing more than 3 games you say? Well, obviously you won’t be able to pry us away from the computers.

Blizzard: If your team manages to win BlizzCon Brawl 2014, what will you do with your new found glory?

Red team:

Rocket Jump: Tweet a lot about it. Then stop tweeting about it as soon as our Twitter followers get tired of hearing about it. Then tweet some more super late at night so only people on the other side of the world will see it. Repeat.

Blue Team:

Jesse Cox: The prize is early 2000s second wave pop punk band Newfound Glory?!

SMOSH Dave: Newfound Glory? Oh man, I used to love those guys. They haven’t put out a new album in forever.

Husky: Retire early. That way I can have a 100% win rate in show matches. Not many people can say that.

Blizzard: We’d like to end our Q&A with a special question for Rocket Jump. Everyone wants to know, will Video Game High School provide students with a course in Heroes of The Storm?

Rocket Jump: Absolutely. MOBA 101. How not to get ganked, stay in lane, and avoid Sgt. Hammer.

A huge thank you goes out to the Brawlers for taking the time out of their day to chat with us. We look forward to the matches!
